North Korea has ratified a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement with Russia. The document provides for military assistance in the event of an attack on one of the parties.
North Korea has ratified the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement with Russia, which was signed on June 19 in Pyongyang. This was reported by the Voice of Korea, according to UNN.
Details
It is noted that the Decree of the Head of State Affairs of the DPRK ratified the “Agreement on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the DPRK and the Russian Federation”. The head of the DPRK signed the decree on November 11, 2024.
According to the text of the agreement, in the event of an armed attack on one of the parties, the other undertakes to immediately provide military and other assistance.
The parties also agreed not to enter into agreements with third countries directed against each other and not to allow the use of their territory to violate the sovereignty of the other party.
In addition, it enshrines a commitment to strengthening the “multipolar world order” and developing cross-border cooperation.
