UNN together with blogger Ulyana Andriashik collected ideas for creating stylish and simple Christmas decorations that will adorn your holiday.
Christmas tree toys made of cardboard
You will need:
- cardboard
- white marker
- thread or ribbon for hanging jewelry
- scissors
- pencil
First, draw the contours of future toys on the cardboard. It can be stars, Christmas trees, snowflakes, balloons or ginger men and houses as shown in the photo. Next, carefully cut out the blanks with scissors. Use a white marker to apply patterns to future jewelry. If desired, you can decorate the toys with sparkles, add color accents, or border the edges with a gold or silver marker. Next, you need to make a hole in the product, and pass a thread or ribbon through it so that the toy can be hung on the branches of the Christmas tree. Also, such toys can be decorated, for example, a Christmas wreath.
Cup Holders
You will need:
- thick cardboard
- two types of jute twine
- hot glue
- marker
- red cloth or paper
- scissors
- pencil
To create a stand, first you need to draw a circle on the cardboard. Next, carefully cut it out along the contour. Apply a drop of hot glue to the center of the base. Secure the end of the twine and start forming a spiral, pressing the harness firmly against the base. Apply hot glue as you wind, so that the twine holds firmly and does not diverge. Make sure that the coils are even, and the glue does not go beyond the edges. When you finish winding the twine, secure the limb with a drop of hot glue. Glue a different type of harness around the edges of the product and make horns as shown in the photo. Draw the eyes of fawns with a black marker. Also, we make a spout, for this we cut out a small circle from red fabric or paper. We also glue it with hot glue.
Christmas boot
You will need:
- glass
- fabric
- thread or tape
- decorative elements (in our version, a bell, but you can use anything else)
- cotton wool or sintepon
- hot glue
- scissors
Take a glass — it will become the basis for the stability of the boot. Wrap the glass with a cloth (you can take a beautiful napkin), and leave a little space for the "nose" of our boot. There you need to put a little cotton wool or sintepon. Collect the fabric on top of the glass, forming the "top" of the boot. Secure it with thread or tape. Also, add festive decorations: bells, artificial needles, snowflakes, anything. In this boot, you can give something as a gift or use it as a decor.
holiday jars
You will need:
- small jars (for example, from under vitamins)
- paint
- decor: buttons, ribbons
- hot glue
Take small jars and paint them in the color you want. If the jar is white, then you can make a decor right away. To make a jar of "Santa", as in the photo, paint the container in red. Next, decorate with buttons. You can also use paints to draw a belt with a gold buckle. Decorate the lid of the jar with a ribbon. You can use such jars as just a decor, or for storing trinkets.
candle holder jar
You will need:
- bank
- white marker
- thread or tape
- candle
- additional decor (for example, Christmas tree/Pine twigs)
We take an ordinary glass jar and draw a winter exhibition on it. It can be, for example, a snow-covered forest, houses, snowmen, snowflakes, anything that you associate with winter and New Year's holidays. Next, we decorate the top of the jar with a beautiful ribbon or thread. You can put a candle inside the product, so we will get a candle holder. Or, alternatively, you can put Christmas or pine twigs there, which will also look good.
