Currency exchange rate as of August 9: hryvnia slightly weakened

The NBU has set the official hryvnia exchange rate at 40.9926 UAH/USD, down 1 kopeck. In banks, a dollar can be bought for UAH 41.30 and sold for UAH 40.85. On the interbank market, the rate is 40.92-40.96 UAH/USD.
The National Bank of Ukraine has set the official hryvnia exchange rate at 40.9926 UAH/USD, which devalued the hryvnia by 1 kopeck, UNN reports citing the NBU.
Details
The official dollar exchange rate is 40.99 UAH/USD. The NBU also set the official euro to hryvnia exchange rate at 44.80 UAH/€.
According to the data on specialized websites, as of 9:15 am:
- The dollar can be bought for UAH 41.30 and sold for UAH 40.85 in banks.
- Euros can be bought for UAH 45.20 and sold for UAH 44.60 in banks.
- In exchange offices, the dollar is traded at UAH 41.20-41.30, and the euro at UAH 44.95-45.15.
- On the interbank market, the exchange rates are UAH 40.92-40.96 for the dollar and UAH 44.57-44.60 for the euro, respectively.

In two months, banks have received more than 7.3 thousand applications for lending for energy infrastructure restoration projects . Applications worth almost UAH 4 billion have been approved, of which UAH 607 million are already being used by businesses.
