A tragic accident near Kalush killed a woman and a 5-year-old girl when a car collided with a truck, and a 6-month-old baby was hospitalized in intensive care.
A tragic accident near Kalush, Ivano-Frankivsk region, killed a woman and a 5-year-old girl when a Volkswagen Golf collided with a truck while leaving a gas station, and a 6-month-old baby was taken to intensive care, the regional police department reported, UNN reports.

The accident occurred near Kalush.
Law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene found that there had been a collision between a Volvo truck with a trailer and a Volkswagen Golf.
It has been established that a 32-year-old driver of a foreign car from Kolomyia, while leaving the territory of a gas station and making a left turn onto the highway, collided with a truck driven by a 26-year-old man. The driver was driving straight ahead.
As a result of the accident, the driver and two minor passengers were seriously injured. The victims were immediately hospitalized at a local hospital.
"The woman and the 5-year-old girl could not be saved. Another passenger, a six-month-old baby, is currently in the intensive care unit of the Kalush Central District Hospital," the police said.
The police tested the truck driver for intoxication. He was sober.
Criminal proceedings were initiated under Part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
