The Verkhovna Rada plans to consider a draft law on the construction of Khmelnytskyi NPP Units 3 and 4. “Energoatom already has agreements with an American bank to finance the project.
Next week, the Verkhovna Rada is likely to consider a draft law in the first reading on the completion of Khmelnytsky NPP units 3 and 4.
This was announced by MP, member of the Committee on Energy and Housing and Communal Services Serhiy Nagornyak during a telethon, UNN reports .

He noted that Energoatom already has agreements with an American bank to lend money to the project, and Energoatom has some resources of its own to start construction.
Energoatom estimates that they will be able to complete the third power unit in 3-4 years and the fourth power unit in 4-5 years. But these are not only plans to build units 3 and 4, Energoatom has plans and a strategy to build units 5 and 6 at Khmelnytsky NPP and unit 5 at Rivne NPP

In April, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a draft law that provides for a decision on the location, design, and construction of power units 3 and 4 of the Khmelnytsky Nuclear Power Plant.
In June, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy, Housing and Utilities recommended that the parliament adopt in the first reading a draft law on the completion of Khmelnytsky NPP units 3 and 4.
