Congresswoman of Ukrainian origin Victoria Spartz tried to justify her words about territorial concessions
Kyiv • UNN
Victoria Spartz stated that her words about territorial concessions to Ukraine were distorted. She emphasized that she made efforts to help Ukraine, but it is impossible to win with Zelensky.

American Congresswoman from the Republican Party of Ukrainian origin Victoria Spartz said that the article published the other day by The Telegraph has a headline that "deliberately distorts" her position on Ukraine.
Spartz published the corresponding statement on her website, UNN writes.
This headline was "conveniently" used by Zelensky's propaganda machine to denigrate her and President Trump and continue to blame the United States for Zelensky's losses and betrayal of his country
Details
On Monday, April 7, the British publication The Telegraph published an article with the headline "The first Ukrainian Congresswoman in the US: Zelensky must cede land to Russia." The article stated that Ukraine allegedly has to cede its territories to Russia.
The only Ukrainian member of Congress is also not afraid to upset her compatriots, telling The Telegraph that they must accept the transfer of territory to Russia and replace wartime leader Volodymyr Zelensky if they do not want to lose their entire country
The Ukrainian authorities have not yet commented on her statement, but the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has published its own reaction.
Unlike Victoria, all our land has always been and will always remain Ukrainian
What Spartz replied
Spartz also released a new statement in which she tried to justify her previous words about territorial concessions. In particular, she stressed that she had made a lot of effort to help the Ukrainian army.
I have spent a tremendous amount of energy trying to help the Ukrainian military win their brutal fight against Russia
However, according to her, defeating Russia is a losing cause as long as Ukraine is ruled by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
"Putin may be evil, but he is not an idiot," she added.
She also expressed the opinion that Ukraine is currently unable to return its territories, so only some temporary solution can be reached, which will be facilitated by the United States. She added that the final outcome of the war will be decided later and not only on the battlefield.
The current reality on the ground is that Ukraine is unable to reclaim its territories, and they cannot agree to give them away forever. Therefore, only a temporary solution can be reached with the help of the United States, which will give each side some time to regroup. The final outcome of this war will be decided later, and not only on the battlefield
