Details

Prosecutors proved that in February-April 2022, a local resident of the village of Buianky, Chernihiv district, passed on to a representative of the russian armed forces data on UAV flights he saw over the village.

He also provided him with the addresses of local residents who participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine, had weapons, or were pro-Ukrainian.

In this way, he tried to neutralize guerrilla warfare or sabotage, while maintaining the combat potential of the russian Armed Forces units stationed in the village.

During the search at the convict's place of residence, a cell phone and 3 TNT blocks were found and seized.

The Chernihiv Court of Appeal upheld the appeal of the prosecutor of the Chernihiv Regional Prosecutor's Office and found a local resident guilty of high treason committed under martial law and illegal handling of ammunition (Part 2 of Article 111, Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The court sentenced him to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property
