The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a mechanism for using budget funds for the professional adaptation of war veterans, their families and families of fallen defenders, prioritizing certain categories and allocating UAH 71 million for this program in 2024.

The Government has adopted a resolution to ensure professional adaptation of war veterans, their families, and families of fallen defenders. In particular, it defines the categories of persons who will receive professional adaptation services as a matter of priority. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted an important resolution to ensure the professional adaptation of war veterans, their families, and the families of fallen Ukrainian defenders at the expense of the state budget.

Amendments were made to Resolutions No. 432 of June 21, 2017 and No. 307 of March 18, 2024, which provide for a mechanism for using budget funds for measures for the professional adaptation of war veterans, members of their families, and families of fallen soldiers.

Also introduced  is the condition of mandatory employment of these persons after professional adaptation.

The Cabinet of Ministers has defined the categories of people who will receive professional adaptation services as a matter of priority.

UAH 71 million is allocated under the relevant program for 2024.

We analyze the labor market shortage, so we can develop and offer educational programs upon request from employers. The resolution adopted today will ensure timely financing of expenditures. Moreover, there is a demand for training and retraining. Over the past two years, the number of people who have taken advantage of the professional adaptation opportunity has increased 3.5 times to 2.2 thousand people. In 2024, we can reach the target of 5 thousand people.
