A 29-year-old driver was detained in Kyiv, suspected of setting fire to a 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS-580, worth over UAH 6.7 million. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
In Kyiv, a 29-year-old man was notified of suspicion of destroying a car - the value of the car was more than 6.7 million hryvnias. This was reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, reports UNN.
Details
According to the investigation, the man worked as a driver for a family that used this car. He doused the Mercedes-Benz GLS-580 car of 2023 model with a flammable substance and set it on fire - later the suspect was detained by police officers. The suspect does not want to talk about the motives for the crime, the prosecutor's office said.
If the detainee's guilt is proven, he may face imprisonment for a term of three to ten years.
