British Defense Minister: International coalition preparing a strategy for Ukraine's stability after peace with Russia

British Defence Secretary John Healey has stated that the countries participating in the international coalition are ready to provide Ukraine with comprehensive support to ensure its security after the conflict with Russia. He stated this during his opening remarks, reports UNN.

Together, we stand as one, ready to secure Ukraine's future after any peace agreement. We are advancing the momentum of this planning here today, planning to put Ukraine in the strongest possible position to protect its sovereignty and deter any further Russian aggression. And while today's discussions will be private, our planning is real and substantial. Our plans are well thought out and we have clear goals for Ukraine

- the minister noted.

In particular, according to Healey, it is about ensuring safe skies, seas and supporting peace on land. He also stressed the importance of strengthening the Armed Forces of Ukraine to deter any further aggression.

Our reassurance to Ukraine will be targeted and credible security arrangements that will ensure that the peace achieved through negotiations delivers what President Trump promised - a lasting peace for Ukraine.

- Healey said.

He also added that at today's meeting, the Chiefs of Defence of Great Britain and France, Admiral Tony Reinekin and General Thierry Bukar, will provide updated information on military planning for Ukraine.

And we will focus on how coalition operational planning could work, and how we can ensure that we are fully prepared for when a peace agreement is reached

- the minister explained.

He stressed that it is important to continue to put pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the war.

Healey also noted that today's meeting is attended by 30 countries united by the conviction that peace is possible and that it is necessary to be ready for it to come. He stressed the importance of supporting Ukraine not only in times of war, but also in the pursuit of peace.

Let us remind you

Earlier, UNN wrote that a meeting of about 30 countries will take place in Brussels today to plan a "coalition of the willing" to support Ukraine's defence.
