Bribery attempt in Ukrgasvydobuvannya: the accused pleads guilty and asks to transfer UAH 300 thousand for the needs of the Armed Forces

A resident of Volyn region pleaded guilty to attempting to bribe an official of Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC in the amount of UAH 300,000 and asked to transfer the money for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It is reported that an indictment against a resident of Volyn region who tried to bribe an official in the amount of UAH 300 thousand has been sent to court.
Under the procedural supervision of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, an indictment with a plea agreement between the suspect and the prosecutor in criminal proceedings on charges of giving an official an unlawful benefit (Part 1 Art. 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) was sent to court
The pre-trial investigation established that Ukrgasvydobuvannya announced a public procurement of spare parts for gas installations. However, during the acceptance of the spare parts from the winning company, the company found that the delivered goods did not meet the technical specifications, which is why the company did not accept them.
Subsequently, the accused, not being an employee of the winning company, but a person close to its management, offered UAH 800 thousand bribe to one of the heads of the Ukrgazvydobuvannya branch for accepting the goods.
After transferring a part of the amount of UAH 300 thousand, he was notified of suspicion.
The defendant pleaded guilty and entered into a plea agreement with the prosecutor. The spare parts that did not meet the technical specifications were not accepted by Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC. The man asks to transfer the said UAH 300 thousand for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
