BMW Alpina has unveiled its first concept car—a precursor to a future production model, UNN reports, citing Motor1.com.

Details

This year, Alpina officially became part of the BMW Group, and the company is showcasing its first vehicle of the new era. It is called the Vision BMW Alpina, a large luxury coupe that serves as a preview of the brand's first model, scheduled to debut next year.

The car is a unique design concept that, according to the company, is characterized by "exceptional capabilities, refinement, and craftsmanship in terms of both performance and comfort." This vehicle is a harbinger of the first BMW Alpina model to arrive next year, which is said to be "inspired" by the 7 Series.

The concept is shorter than the current 7 Series but longer than the 5 Series. Under the hood is a V8 engine which, according to the company, "has a rich and deep sound at low speeds and a resonant one at high revs," though specific details have not been disclosed.

The car features a striking design highlighted by slim lighting elements and three-dimensional illuminated kidney grilles. The front end is shaped like a "shark nose," with a metal Alpina logo located on the lower part of the front bumper. The vehicle is equipped with the iconic 20-spoke wheels—an Alpina hallmark since 1971—measuring 22 inches at the front and 23 inches at the rear.

At the rear, the Vision BMW Alpina features four elliptical exhaust pipes protruding through a subtle yet elegant diffuser. Similar to the front, the rear features slim taillights grouped around the trunk opening.

Inside, the Vision BMW Alpina looks like a modern BMW ready for mass production. The car features a new interior design, including BMW's panoramic iDrive system, a new passenger screen, and a minimal number of physical buttons.

BMW presented the car at this year's Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. BMW acquired Alpina in early 2026. Founded in 1965, the company has since been involved in refining and enhancing the German brand's vehicles.
