95 Ukrainian defenders, including soldiers, members of the National Guard and border guards, were released from Russian captivity thanks to the mediation efforts of the United Arab Emirates.
The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine commented on the statement that a military officer who collaborated with the Russian administration was allegedly returned to Ukraine during the exchange, UNN reports with reference to Radio Liberty.

According to the publication, information about the soldier who cooperated with the Russian administration was published by former prisoner of war Viktor "Leleka" Lakhno. According to him, this soldier was also involved in the beating of Azov fighters and wanted to obtain Russian citizenship.
Andriy Yusov, representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate Andriy Yusov said on Radio Liberty that the story is being followed.
"If there are certain facts that require verification and additional attention, including from the point of view of counterintelligence aspects, such work is being carried out," he said.
