Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets sent letters to the ICRC and the UN over the execution of a Ukrainian prisoner of war. He stressed that Russia ignores international law and uses war crimes as methods of warfare.
The Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, responded to the shooting of a Ukrainian prisoner of war by Russian occupiers near Myrne in the Volnovakha district of Donetsk region. This was reported by UNN, citing Lubinets’s post on Telegram.

The Ombudsman has already sent official letters to the International Committee of the Red Cross and the United Nations. He added that the crimes must be properly documented and those responsible must be held to the strictest account.
