Assistance to residents of frontline areas expanded: new criteria announced

The Ministry of Social Policy has expanded the list of recipients of assistance for residents of frontline areas. The program provides payments of up to UAH 3,250 for 6 months for people without pensions and people with disabilities.
The new list includes people without the right to a pension, adults and children with disabilities. The total amount of funds is over UAH 284 million.

Details of the changes and the new cash assistance program from the World Food Program (WFP). The list of recipients has been expanded and new categories of Ukrainians have been added.
In addition to those who received it before, the new rules now include people without the right to a pension, adults and children with disabilities. However, the eligible persons must simultaneously meet the following criteria:
- live in the territories of active or possible hostilities (according to Order No. 309);
- receive social assistance of less than UAH 3,250 per month;
- do not receive housing allowances for internally displaced persons (IDPs);
- do not receive international targeted monetary support from other international organizations during the provision of assistance.
Details on the amount of assistance
The amount of the allowance is the difference between UAH 3250 and the amount of existing social assistance from the state that a person receives.
For example, if a person receives UAH 2700 of social assistance, the payment will be an additional UAH 550. , the post says.
The program is designed for 6 months, and the total amount of funds, as of today, is more than UAH 284 million.
How to receive funds
Funds are paid to a bank account or by targeted delivery by Ukrposhta. Payments to bank accounts are being made now, payments via Ukrposhta will start in a few weeks.
