The suspect set fire to post offices and administrative buildings to order. According to the investigation, the man received an offer in one of the messengers for a monetary reward for setting fire to administrative buildings in Odesa region.
In case of “danger,” he was guaranteed unimpeded travel abroad.
The man carefully coordinated his targets and took conspiratorial measures, which made it difficult to identify him.
After preparing the necessary materials for committing crimes, the suspect would arrive at the selected facilities, pour fuel on the windows and walls, set them on fire, and record his actions on video.
He received money for his actions on an electronic wallet.
As a result, in October-December 2024, the suspects set fire to a number of post offices and administrative buildings of local governments.
The man was detained while he was setting fire to the premises of the Pension Fund office in Ovidiopol district.
