According to law enforcement officers, the State Border Guard Service official personally met the cars with the "clients", directed them out of line to one of the free lanes, took their passports and licenses and handed them over to an inspector who was unaware of his superior's criminal intentions.

The official assured that these individuals were "under the control" of the top management and that everything should be done to get them across the border as soon as possible.

On his instructions, the inspector did not conduct a proper check of the documents and entered information about them into the database of persons with legal grounds for crossing the border. After that, the men legally traveled to Poland.

According to the SBI, 27 citizens left under this scheme in May-June 2024.
