The heat wave is not going to recede, and with it the threat of fires in the natural ecosystems of Kyiv region is growing.
According to weather forecasters, an extreme level of fire danger is expected in the region from July 16 to 18 due to favorable weather conditions for the spread of fire.
Residents are advised to follow safe rules:
- Do not burn garbage, dead wood, leaves and other materials in natural areas.
- Refrain from lighting fires near forests or village houses.
- When building a fire, use areas with clean soil and places prepared for this purpose.

The police warn that failure to comply with the relevant rules can lead not only to environmental damage but also to legal liability. If a fire is detected, call 101 immediately, and report cases of unauthorized burning of vegetation to 102 or call 112.
