Air Force calls Russian propagandists' information about captured Ukrainian pilot a fake

The command emphasizes that such messages are aimed at demoralizing Ukrainians.
The Ukrainian Air Force denied the information spread by the Russian media that a Ukrainian pilot was captured by the Russian army, UNN reports.
This refers to the information published by Russian propaganda media - allegedly, a Ukrainian pilot surrendered and was transferred to the attack aircraft.
"Russian propaganda media are spreading information that a Ukrainian pilot surrendered in the Kursk region. Unfortunately, cases of capturing servicemen who used to serve in the Air Force do occur. However, the information about the capture of a Ukrainian pilot is FALSE. All Ukrainian pilots continue to perform tasks to protect the country," the Air Force said in a statement.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces emphasized that such information is used by the enemy to demoralize the Ukrainian military.
"The dissemination of such materials is used to demoralize the Ukrainian military and civilians in order to influence public opinion both inside and outside Ukraine," the statement said.
