The Kyiv Zoo has taken in a male lynx named Stepan, who had been living in cramped cages in restaurants, cafes, and private homes for five years. UNN reports this with reference to the Kyiv Zoological Park.

Meet spotted "kitty" Stepan  - a lynx we took in after more than 5 years of wandering in cramped cages in restaurants, cafes and private homes. This fall, thanks to the efforts of volunteers, Stepan was rehabilitated in Kyiv Zoo

- The zoo said.

After quarantine and treatment, he moved on to the next stage of a long-term rehabilitation program - adaptation and socialization in conditions close to natural ones.

Like all members of the feline family, he loves to eat fresh meat, sharpen his claws, run, jump and play with numerous toys.  You can see the rescued lynx Stepan in the natural enclosure of the Kyiv Zoo's orchard
