A fire broke out in an apartment on the 5th floor of a building in the Solomenskiy district and spread to the roof. 54 rescuers and 14 fire units are extinguishing the fire and evacuating the residents.

An apartment in a five-story building caught fire in the Solomyan district, the fire spread to the roof, UNN reports with reference to the State Emergency Service in Kyiv.

The fire occurred at Mykola Vasylenko Street, 9.

"The fire started in an apartment on the 5th floor and spread to the roof of the building. The fire is being extinguished. Residents of the building are being evacuated," the statement said.

Fifty-four rescuers and 14 pieces of fire and rescue equipment are working at the site.
