A minor boy was hospitalized with injuries after a severe storm in Kyiv region damaged roofs, fences, cars and caused power outages.

In the Kyiv region, a minor boy was injured in a severe storm and hospitalized. In addition, the roofs of a number of private houses, fences and four cars were damaged. This was reported by the head of the Kyiv RMA Ruslan Kravchenko, UNN reports.

One person was injured in the region due to a severe storm. It was a minor boy who was injured when a shed made of beams and slate fell. The victim was hospitalized in one of the regional children's hospitals with a closed head injury, a fractured lower jaw and an ear wound 

- Kravchenko said.

According to him, due to strong winds and heavy rain, there are power lines down in the region. The largest number of damages is in two districts - Bucha and Vyshhorod.

In addition, as of 21:30, roofs of a number of private houses, fences and four cars were damaged in Bucha, Obukhiv, Bila Tserkva and Vyshhorod districts, as well as trees were knocked down. The roof of a lyceum in Obukhiv district and a shop in Bucha district were also damaged.

"At present, power engineers, the State Emergency Service and other services are working to quickly eliminate the consequences of the bad weather and clear the roads. Together with the districts and communities, we are also providing all the necessary assistance to people in the immediate restoration of damaged facilities," Kravchenko summarized.
