In Kyiv's Vynohradar district, a 62-year-old man was detained on suspicion of committing lewd acts against a 15-year-old schoolgirl, which, according to the investigation, occurred in the entrance of a residential building where he followed the girl. This was reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, according to UNN.
It was established that in Vynohradar, a 15-year-old girl was returning home from school. A man followed her into the building entrance, began touching her buttocks, and tried to pull the girl toward him. She became frightened and resisted, after which she ran into her apartment and told her mother about the incident, while the man fled,
He was located and detained. The girl's pursuer turned out to be a 62-year-old resident of the Podilskyi district, who has no family and, according to him, works part-time for a delivery service.
Under the procedural guidance of juvenile prosecutors of the Podilskyi District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv, the man was notified of suspicion of committing lewd acts against a person under the age of sixteen (Part 1 of Article 156 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
A preventive measure in the form of 24-hour house arrest was chosen for the suspect. The prosecution is appealing this decision.
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to 5 years.
