164 combat engagements since the beginning of the day: where the frontline is the hottest

There were 164 combat engagements in the frontline, with the most intense fighting in the Pokrovske, Vremivske and Lyman sectors. The enemy is actively using aviation and artillery, and Ukrainian forces are successfully repelling the attacks.
164 battles took place on the frontline since the beginning of the day, the most intense - in the Pokrovske, Vremivske and Lyman directions, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in a summary as of 16 hours on December 23, UNN writes.
Since the beginning of the day, the total number of combat engagements along the entire frontline has increased to 164. The occupants continue to use aviation, in particular, drones, and carry out attacks in all directions of the east and south of our country. Defense forces hold the line and take necessary measures to prevent a breakthrough
The occupiers used artillery and aircraft in the areas of Bachivsk, Velyka Pysarivka, Luhivka, and Oleksandrivka in Sumy region.
According to available information, the Russians fired 237 times at the territory of the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, including 24 times with multiple launch rocket systems.

Three combat engagements took place in the Kharkiv sector today. Ukrainian troops repelled one Russian attack near Vovchansk, two more combat engagements are still ongoing.
Our troops repelled five invaders' attacks near Kindrashivka, Petropavlivka, Kolisnykivka, Lozova and Bohuslavka in the Kupyansk sector, and seven more clashes are still ongoing.
In the Lyman sector, the enemy attacked 17 times in the areas of Hrekivka, Novoyehorivka, Zelenyi Hai, Nova Kruhlyakivka, Tverdokhlibove, Nadiya, Novosergiyivka, Terny and Ivanivka, six of the attacks are still pending.
In the Siversky sector near Bilohorivka and Hryhorivka, our defenders repelled eight enemy attacks, five combat engagements are ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy stormed Ukrainian positions seven times today in the vicinity of Stupochky, Chasovyi Yar and Predtechyno, with two more engagements remaining to be completed.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy attacked our troops' positions 13 times in the areas of Diliyivka, Dachne, Bila Hora, Shcherbynivka and Toretsk, with six firefights still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk sector in the areas of Myroliubivka, Dachanske, Novyi Trud, Novotroyitske, Zelene, Novoyelizavetivka, Novooleynivka, Novopustyanka and Uspenivka, the enemy has attacked 21 times since the beginning of the day, 11 attacks have been repelled, and fierce fighting is ongoing.
Seven enemy attacks have already been repelled by our defenders in the vicinity of Kurakhove, Petropavlivka, Sontsivka, Stari Terny and Andriivka in the Kurakhove sector, 11 firefights are still ongoing. At the same time, the enemy conducted air strikes in the area of Andriivka, dropping two guided bombs.
Seven out of 18 attacks launched by the enemy near Novodarivka, Dachne, Kostiantynopolske, Kostiantynopol, Rozlyv, Rozdolne, Novyi Komar and Novosilka continue in the Vremivsky sector. In addition, the enemy dropped nine guided aerial bombs in the vicinity of Temyrivka and Kostiantynopil.
In the area of Bilohirya in the Hulyaypilsky sector, our defenders repelled one enemy attack.
On the Orikhiv direction, the enemy tried four times without success to drive our defenders from their positions.
The enemy did not conduct active operations in the Prydniprovsky sector.
