Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived in Hungary for the summit of the European Political Community, the Hungarian edition Infostart reports, UNN writes.

Details

"Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived at the Pushkas Arena. The President of Ukraine arrived in Budapest for the summit of the European Political Community, and at the entrance he was personally greeted by Viktor Orban, like everyone else. Forty-seven heads of state and government, heads of major international organizations have been invited to the summit," the newspaper writes.

According to Sky TG24, Zelensky was met by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, with whom he shook hands in front of the cameras.

"I will speak after the meeting," the President told reporters.

The Hungarian edition Telex noted that the President of Ukraine is visiting Hungary for the first time after his election in 2019.

According to Infostart, this time politicians are not boycotting the meeting. "One of the reasons is that this is the first joint summit after the US presidential election," the publication notes. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, and European Council President Charles Michel are reportedly already at the Pushkash Arena, among others.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, as indicated, has previously emphasized that this will be the largest diplomatic event in the history of Hungary, which will bring together not only EU leaders but also leaders from outside the EU. Two things should be discussed at the summit: the presidential election in America and reversing the decline in European competitiveness, he added.
