According to the released schedule, Trump will depart from the White House at 6:45 AM Eastern US time (1:45 PM Kyiv time), and will leave Anchorage at 5:45 PM local time (4:45 AM Saturday Kyiv time).
The return to the White House is scheduled for Saturday morning, August 16.
This will be the first face-to-face meeting between the leaders of the US and Russia since June 2021.
Meanwhile, a large-scale pro-Ukrainian rally is underway in downtown Anchorage ahead of the planned meeting between Donald Trump and Putin. Participants in the action are holding placards with slogans in support of Ukraine and against Russian aggression.
