Information regarding the alleged cancellation of the criticality status of enterprises, which allows for the deferment (reservation) of up to 50% of conscripted employees, is untrue. It has been labeled an information-psychological operation (IPSO). This was reported by the Deputy Head of the Office of the President Viktor Mykyta, according to UNN.

There is no need to scare businesses and entrepreneurs with the cancellation of criticality status as if it were some kind of indulgence. The reservation quota of 50% of the total number of conscripts is a percentage that in itself is already the critical limit for the functioning of any enterprise
It is also noted that in 2025, businesses paid approximately 1.2 trillion UAH in taxes and fees to the consolidated budget of Ukraine. These funds are directed, in particular, to supporting the Defense Forces and the functioning of the state.
These funds also went toward the salaries of functionaries who sit reserved in nice suits and generate this IPSO regarding so-called discussions about canceling the criticality status for enterprises. I advise these functionaries to study a course on local budget formation regarding "where the funds come from to pay teachers, doctors, energy workers, and other professions critically important for the functioning of communities" under decentralization conditions. And also what will happen if these people are not at their workplaces
According to the Deputy Head of the Office of the President, canceling criticality status does not mean the automatic transfer of employees to the Defense Forces, but rather the opposite - it "directs them toward the Tysa River."
Therefore, do not "sell thin air" or a "panacea," but direct your efforts toward developing mechanisms to involve more than 2 million Ukrainians of conscription age who have not updated their data, and 200,000 military personnel who have gone AWOL (absented themselves from military units without leave), in the defense of our country. As soon as you deal with this, we will talk about canceling criticality status for honest taxpayers
The message also emphasizes that effective defense is impossible without a strong economy, and businesses that operate and pay taxes remain a vital part of supporting the state during the war.
