The Head of State spoke about his participation in the European Council summit and negotiations with Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala in Brussels, and thanked the leaders and the Czech people for their unity in supporting Ukraine.
Zelenskyy informed about the situation on various fronts. The two presidents discussed in detail the capabilities of the allies to train Ukrainian brigades following the example of France and the United States.
The Head of State emphasized that the brigades should train with the weapons and equipment they will return to Ukraine with.
Separately, Zelenskyy spoke about the consequences of the morning Russian shelling of Kyiv and voiced Ukraine's defense needs for various types of air defense systems and armored vehicles.
The leaders also discussed the implementation of the Czech initiative to supply artillery shells this year and agreed to work together with partners to ensure uninterrupted funding in 2025.
