President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a video conversation with President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel. They talked about the implementation of the Czech initiative to supply artillery shells, as well as the possibility of opening a representative office of the newly created Ministry of National Unity in the Czech Republic, UNN reports with reference to the OP.

The Head of State spoke about his participation in the European Council summit and negotiations with Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala in Brussels, and thanked the leaders and the Czech people for their unity in supporting Ukraine.

Zelenskyy informed about the situation on various fronts. The two presidents discussed in detail the capabilities of the allies to train Ukrainian brigades following the example of France and the United States.

The Head of State emphasized that the brigades should train with the weapons and equipment they will return to Ukraine with. 

Separately, Zelenskyy spoke about the consequences of the morning Russian shelling of Kyiv and voiced Ukraine's defense needs for various types of air defense systems and armored vehicles.

The leaders also discussed the implementation of the Czech initiative to supply artillery shells this year and agreed to work together with partners to ensure uninterrupted funding in 2025.

The Head of State expressed gratitude for the active participation of the Czech Republic in all efforts aimed at strengthening Ukraine and bringing a just peace closer.

They also discussed the possibility of opening a representative office of the newly created Ministry of National Unity in the Czech Republic.
