Keir Starmer told ITV's Robert Peston on Thursday that he was "fed up" with how Donald Trump's actions in the Middle East were affecting British society, allegedly drawing parallels between the US president and Vladimir Putin.
I'm fed up with families' energy bills across the country going up and down, and businesses' energy bills going up and down because of Putin's or Trump's actions around the world.
The Prime Minister also stressed the need to stabilize the situation in the Middle East and restore safe shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
According to him, Britain, together with its allies, is working on a practical plan to restore maritime logistics as soon as possible after a ceasefire is reached.
At the same time, Starmer criticized the strikes in the region, emphasizing that they "must stop," even despite the uncertainty regarding the details of the truce agreements.
