Russia attacked Ukraine overnight with 22 missiles, including 14 ballistic ones, and 524 drones; 4 missiles and 503 drones were shot down or suppressed, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Monday, UNN writes.

According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the night of May 18 (from 6:00 PM on May 17), the enemy launched a combined strike on the territory of Ukraine using strike UAVs and ground-based missiles.
"The main direction of the strike was Dnipro and the Dnipropetrovsk region. Odesa, Chernihiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions were also attacked," the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated on social media.
In total, the Radio-Technical Troops of the Air Force detected 546 aerial attack weapons (22 missiles and 524 UAVs): 14 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles (launch areas – Rostov region of the Russian Federation, temporarily occupied Crimea); 8 Iskander-K cruise missiles (launch areas – temporarily occupied Crimea); 524 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas-type strike UAVs, and "Parody"-type decoy drones from the directions of: Bryansk, Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Russian Federation, temporarily occupied Donetsk, and Hvardiiske – temporarily occupied Crimea.
The aerial attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare (EW) units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data as of 08:30, air defense shot down/suppressed 507 targets – 4 missiles and 503 drones of various types: 4 Iskander-K cruise missiles; 503 enemy UAVs of various types. Hits by 18 missiles and 16 strike UAVs were recorded at 34 locations, as well as the falling of downed UAVs (debris) at 11 locations
The attack is ongoing; as indicated, several enemy UAVs remain in the air.
