Exchange rates for May 18: the dollar has risen in price, the euro has significantly depreciated

The National Bank has set the dollar exchange rate at 44.07 hryvnias, while the euro has decreased to 51.26 hryvnias. In banks and exchange offices, the currency is trading at market prices.
The National Bank of Ukraine has set the official exchange rate of the hryvnia at 44.0724 UAH/USD for today, weakening the national currency by 12 kopecks, reports UNN with reference to NBU data.
The NBU also set the official exchange rate of the euro against the hryvnia for May 18 at 51.2606 UAH/EUR, strengthening the hryvnia by 18 kopecks.
According to data from specialized websites as of Monday morning:
- in banks, the dollar is trading at an average rate of 43.79 UAH for purchase and 44.32 UAH for sale, the euro at 51.05 UAH and 51.74 UAH respectively;
- in exchange offices, the dollar is trading at an average rate of 43.88 UAH for purchase and 43.97 UAH for sale, the euro at 51.45 UAH and 51.69 UAH respectively.
