Poland has placed its military aviation and air defense systems on high alert amid another massive Russian attack on the territory of Ukraine. This was reported by the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces on the social network X, according to UNN.
Details
The department noted that the decision was made due to the activity of Russian long-range aviation, which is carrying out strikes on Ukraine using air attack assets. In accordance with current procedures, military aircraft have been scrambled in Polish airspace, and ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems have been placed in a state of high readiness.
"These actions are preventive in nature and are aimed at securing and protecting the airspace, particularly in areas adjacent to threatened zones,"
The Polish command emphasized that they continue to monitor the situation near the country's borders. All involved forces and assets remain ready for immediate response in the event of threats to the security of Polish airspace.
