Sources also reported that Pakistan's Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar raised the topic of new diplomatic initiatives with Chinese officials during his visit to China last week.

China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Beijing supports the mediation efforts of Pakistan and other parties and intends to continue facilitating the earliest possible restoration of peace and stability in the Persian Gulf region.
