A court has remanded a 42-year-old resident of the Odesa region into custody on suspicion of high treason. According to the investigation, she assisted Russian intelligence services in adjusting missile and drone strikes on Kyiv and the surrounding region by organizing a covert video broadcast from a hotel in the Kyiv region. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General, according to UNN.
At the request of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office, the court remanded the 42-year-old resident of the Odesa district into custody without the right to bail. She is charged with high treason committed under martial law,
According to the investigation, in late 2024, the woman established contact with a representative of the Russian intelligence services via Telegram and agreed to carry out his assignments.
Initially, she provided the enemy with data regarding a mobile air defense fire group in Chornomorsk.
Subsequently, the suspect received a new task — to help adjust missile and drone strikes on Kyiv and the region.
To achieve this, she arrived at a hotel complex in the Kyiv region, where she checked into a room overlooking the waters of the Kyiv Reservoir.
Under the instructions of her handler, the woman purchased a separate smartphone, installed a remote access program, and concealed the device in the room.
For two weeks, the phone continuously broadcasted video which, according to the investigation, was used by representatives of the aggressor state to monitor the situation and adjust attacks on Kyiv and the Kyiv region.
