North Korea is interested in gaining experience from Russia’s war against Ukraine, which could be used to prepare for a new stage of aggression on the Korean Peninsula. Pyongyang may also see additional opportunities amid the confrontation between the United States and Iran. This was reported by Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, according to UNN.

"North Korea is interested in gaining experience from Russia’s war against Ukraine in order to launch a stage of aggression on the Korean Peninsula," Andrii Kovalenko stated.
According to him, it is possible that Pyongyang currently sees a window of opportunity in light of the confrontation between the United States and Iran and the depletion of ammunition, on which the stability of the Indo-Pacific region is also based.
"Japan and South Korea will have to assume greater responsibility for security. One way or another, an authoritarian inadequate person who is extremely similar to Putin is sitting in Pyongyang. And Putin is also learning from him. In particular, the restriction of the internet that awaits Russians over the next two years will completely replicate the system operating in North Korea. Russians simply do not realize this yet," Kovalenko pointed out.

President Zelenskyy stated that Russia wants to deploy between 30,000 and 50,000 North Koreans on its territory. Pyongyang is studying Russia’s war against Ukraine, while Kyiv is calling on South Korea to strengthen cooperation.
