As a result of a large-scale attack by Russians on the night of March 22, dozens of facilities in Ukraine's energy system were damaged. Emergency power outages were introduced in 7 regions. UNN reports this with reference to the press service of Ukrenergo.
This morning, the enemy deliberately launched a combined massive attack on Ukrainian energy infrastructure. Dozens of power system facilities were damaged: thermal and hydroelectric power plants, trunk power grids of NPC Ukrenergo, regional power company networks
As noted, the most difficult situation is in Kharkiv, Odesa, Kirovohrad, and Dnipro regions.
Ukrenergo emphasized that despite the Russian attacks, the power system has maintained its integrity. Experts are working to stabilize its operation.
The 750 kV high-voltage line, which was the main power supply line for ZNPP, was taken out of operation. Currently, ZNPP is supplied only via a backup 330 kV line, which was restored by Ukrenergo repair crews on March 14

Reportedly, electricity consumption has been forced to be limited in the following areas:
- Dnipropetrovska
- Donetsk
- Kirovogradskaya
- Odesa
- Poltava
- Sumy
- Kharkivskaya
Emergency assistance
Emergency assistance from the power systems of Romania, Slovakia, and Poland has been engaged to maintain the safe operation of the power system. Emergency repair works will continue 24/7 until the power supply is fully restored to consumers, Ukrenergo added.
