Iran's Supreme National Security Council has warned of inevitable retaliation for the Israeli strikes on Beirut. Tehran described Israel's actions as a violation of red lines.

Iran's highest national security body warned on Sunday that retaliatory actions are "inevitable" following an Israeli strike on Tehran's ally, Hezbollah, in the southern suburbs of Beirut, UNN reports, citing The Guardian.

"Retaliatory actions by the militants of Islam are inevitable," the Supreme National Security Council said in a statement published on X. "Lebanon is our life, and the violation of the Islamic Republic's red lines is unacceptable."
