Currently, 300,000 children in Ukraine cannot study properly because they do not have their own laptops. That's why UNICEF has donated almost 39,000 laptops to Ukrainian schoolchildren as part of the Device Coalition. This was announced by the Vice Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science and Technology Development - Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov on his Telegram channel, UNN reports .

Education is a basic right for children, and they should have access to it no matter what. The UNICEF devices will be distributed among children from vulnerable groups: IDPs, children with disabilities, children from low-income families, and children deprived of parental care
He noted that the equipment will be given to middle and high school students from Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Kherson, Dnipro, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, and Chernihiv regions.

The website of the Ministry of Education and Science indicates that a total of 178,945 devices, including laptops and tablets, were handed over to schools.
It is noted that currently 361,560 students need digital devices, as well as 68,881 teachers.
