In the Rivne region, a 48-year-old serviceman was detained after opening fire on TCC (Territorial Recruitment Center) employees and a police officer on Wednesday, April 29. A notice of suspicion is being prepared for the detainee. This was reported by the Prosecutor General's Office, according to UNN.

The incident occurred on April 29, 2024, around 5:00 PM in one of the settlements of the Dubno district in the Rivne region. According to preliminary data, the man was traveling on a bicycle. He stopped near a service vehicle containing TCC servicemen and a law enforcement officer, pulled an object resembling an automatic weapon from a bag, and fired several bursts in the direction of the car.
As a result of the shelling, two people sustained physical injuries from glass fragments. They have been hospitalized. Two other individuals who were in the car were not injured. The service vehicle sustained mechanical damage. After the attack, the man fled the scene and went into hiding. Law enforcement officers identified the attacker as a 48-year-old serviceman. He was located and detained in accordance with Art. 615 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine,
A notice of suspicion is being prepared for the detainee on the facts of attempted intentional murder of two or more persons, as well as a law enforcement officer in connection with the performance of their official duties, and desertion - Part 2 of Art. 15, items 1, 8 of Part 2 of Art. 115, Part 4 of Art. 408 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
