During the night of August 12, new explosions were heard in occupied Crimea, and a building caught fire in Balaklava after Russian air defense was in operation. This was reported by the Telegram channel "Crimean Wind," UNN writes.

According to the channel's subscribers, the fire broke out in the historic center of Balaklava, near Mount Cembalo. The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
Meanwhile, another explosion was heard in the area of the Balaklava Thermal Power Plant. A blue spotlight was also spotted over the area.
New explosions in Crimea
In Kerch, local residents reported distant explosions that could probably have been heard from the direction of Taman. A drone was also recorded flying over the area of Crimea's Southern Coast, and Russian air defense was periodically operating against it.
At around 1:57 a.m., gunfire, a flash, and an explosion were reported in Sevastopol, in the area of Cape Fiolent.
Earlier, "Crimean Wind" reported widespread power outages in Crimea following a series of explosions and the operation of air defense. In particular, power outages were reported in Sevastopol, Bakhchysarai District, Simferopol, Yevpatoria, Saky, and a number of other settlements.
