Russia continues to exert pressure on Ukraine's partners instead of taking real steps toward a ceasefire and a peaceful settlement of the war it unleashed. This is reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation of the NSDC of Ukraine (CCD), as relayed by UNN.
Details
It is noted that on June 11, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Galuzin, who recently openly threatened European states with nuclear weapons, held a meeting with the ambassadors of Great Britain, France, and Germany.
The Russian diplomatic department attempted to present this event as a platform for "seeking a political and diplomatic settlement." In reality, it was about broadcasting Kremlin ultimatums, leveling accusations against the West, and attempting to shift responsibility for the continuation of the war onto Ukraine's allies
They emphasize that the Kremlin organizes such meetings exclusively for propaganda: to create an illusion of its "constructive position" on the international stage.
"In fact, Moscow is once again using diplomatic platforms as a podium for intimidation, thereby confirming its complete unwillingness to follow the path of diplomacy to achieve peace," the CCD concludes.
Context
On the eve, Deputy Head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Galuzin met with the ambassadors of Great Britain, France, and Germany and accused these countries of "prolonging the war" in Ukraine.
In turn, the leaders of Great Britain, France, and Germany, through their ambassadors in Moscow, conveyed a joint position to the Russian side regarding the cessation of the war against Ukraine.
