Lending programs for defense production, energy, and businesses in frontline regions are planned to be expanded, First Deputy Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko announced on social media on Wednesday, UNN reports.
I have instructed the Ministry of Finance, together with the Ministry of Economy, to prepare amendments to the Strategy for the Development of State-Owned Banks. During the war, it must define priority areas for lending—primarily the defense industry and energy—and also contain specific solutions for expanding financing for enterprises in frontline regions
Separately, according to Svyrydenko, she "instructed the Ministry of Finance to prepare proposals for mobilizing the resources of the state banking sector to support NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine during preparations for the next heating season."
