According to observations of the Kyiv Joint Hydrometeorological Station, a record amount of precipitation was recorded in the capital on April 1 – 18.1 mm, which is 3.5 mm more than the previous record for this date in 1891, when 14.6 mm of precipitation fell.
43% of the monthly rainfall fell in Kyiv in a day
Earlier, UNN wrote that in 2024 Kyiv experienced the warmest September in 143 years of observations. The average temperature in the capital was +20.6°С, which is 5.7°С above normal. 11 temperature records were recorded, and precipitation was only 36% of the norm.
