President Zelenskyy signed three decrees awarding 247 Ukrainian defenders, 176 of them posthumously, with various state awards for courage and service.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy honored 247 defenders of Ukraine with state awards, 176 of them posthumously. The relevant decrees were published on the website of the head of state, UNN reports.

Details

According to the documents, the awards to the defenders are awarded for personal courage in the defense of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and for selflessly performing military selfless fulfillment of military duty.

Thus, by Decree No. 847/2023, the President decided to to award 82 servicemen, 78 of them posthumously. The recipients were awarded the Bohdan Khmelnytsky Order and the Order for Courage.

By Decree No. 848/2023, the President awarded 70 military personnel, including 28 posthumously. The defenders were awarded the Orders of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, Danylo Halytskyi and "For Courage" orders, medals "For military service to Ukraine" and "Defender of the Fatherland" medals.

By Decree No. 849/2023, state awards were presented to 95 defenders, 70 of them posthumously. The President decided to award them with the Order "For Courage", medals "For Military Service to Ukraine" and "Defender of the Fatherland" medals.
