President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy instructed Yevhenii Khmara to temporarily serve as acting Minister of Defense. Khmara is to continue reforming the defense sector and ensure results.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has tasked Yevhenii Khmara with acting as Minister of Defense, continuing the reform of the defense sector and ensuring all the results for Ukraine, UNN reports.
I believe that under the current conditions, real effectiveness in long-range capability, truly strong security work that will guarantee control over the internal situation in the components of the Defense Forces, and real experience in managing people at the "Alpha" Special Operations Center of the Security Service of Ukraine should become an advantage also in the position of Minister of Defense of Ukraine. The President added that after the necessary legal procedures are completed, he will appeal to parliamentarians for support for Yevhenii Khmara for the position of Minister of Defense of Ukraine.
