Zelensky thanked Denmark for preparing another powerful aid package worth more than €1 billion.
Separately, the President of Ukraine noted Denmark's leadership and significant contribution to the creation and successful operation of the international fighter jet coalition.
"The leaders discussed the importance of consolidation and unity of the EU on the eve of the European Council meeting," the statement said.
Commenting on the talks with the Danish Prime Minister in Telegram, Volodymyr Zelenskyy himself noted that long-term support, unity and strength are key factors in defeating Russian aggression in Ukraine.
"I am grateful to Denmark for sharing these common goals and working with us to achieve a just peace," Zelenskyy wrote.

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen reportedthat Denmark plans to provide Ukraine with €8 billion in aid over several years, as well as F-16 aircraft together with allies. In addition, the Danish parliament will consider providing new aid.
