President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that lowering the conscription age for the Armed Forces is necessary because young people are better physically prepared and more quickly oriented in modern technologies used on the battlefield.

According to him, today the military command has a request for the age and level of physical fitness of mobilized soldiers who will be sent to war. Zelensky emphasized that in order to replace soldiers on the front line, the military must be in good physical shape.
We need to prepare brigades that will replace those that have been at the front for two years. To do this, to be an adequate replacement, people need to train and be in a serious physical condition. With all due respect to our soldiers, we are saying that there is a difference between a 25-year-old soldier and a 50-year-old soldier
