Andriy Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, was ranked fourth among Europe's most powerful figures by Politico, recognized as having significant influence in the Ukrainian government and parliament.
Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak has been included in the Politico ranking of the most influential people in Europe in the category of "figures," UNN reports.
Details
Every year, Politico creates a ranking of the most influential people in Europe. Andriy Yermak took the fourth place in the category of "figures". In turn, French President Emmanuel Macron is in third place, and European Commission President Ursula Von der Leyen is in second place. It is not yet known who has become the leader of the rating.
Politico called Yermak the "green cardinal" of Kyiv. The head of the President's Office was given this title because of his last name, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and the fact that he often appears in public in military style.
The authors of the rating also noted that Andriy Yermak "actually holds the reins of the Ukrainian government and parliament".
As Ukraine begins its campaign to join the EU and NATO, and at the same time fights to regain its territory, Yermak has gained enormous power as a key player in Zelenskyy's military cabinet. He effectively holds the reins of Ukraine's government and parliament, while allowing his boss to keep his hands (and his international image) clean
