The ARMA avoids commenting on Transparency International's remarks about populism.
The Asset Recovery and Management Agency decided not to comment on the remarks of Transparency International Ukraine about "contradictory communication" on the part of the agency's officials, combined with populism and violation of the presumption of innocence, and instead focused on their "achievements," UNN writes.

On the occasion of the 9th anniversary of the ARMA's establishment, Transparency International Ukraine statedthat the agency is currently in need of significant reform and does not meet the European standards for which it was created. The anti-corruption activists pointed out that quite often there is "contradictory communication from the ARMA or its officials, combined with populism, violation of the presumption of innocence and lack of understanding of the competence of state bodies".
In connection with these statements, UNN asked ARMA to comment on them and tell them what measures are being taken to improve the agency's communication policy.
However, the Asset Recovery and Management Agency , in response to a request, decided to ignore this question and instead talk only about their "achievements" in drafting the laws.
ARMA's decision to ignore criticism of their communication policy may be a deliberate move to avoid public accountability for the shortcomings identified. Instead of improving communication, the agency again chose populism and started talking about "developing various draft laws." This step may serve as a cover for the lack of real reforms and the desire to avoid external control.

This is not the first time that ARMA under Olena Duma has been accused of populism. Earlier, experts emphasizedthat the agency focuses more on politically high-profile cases involving oligarchs than on the effective preservation and management of transferred assets. It is worth noting that Olena Duma in her public speeches has repeatedly emphasized the transfer of assets of oligarchs Dmytro Firtash, Mikhail Fridman and Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska to ARMA among the "achievements" of her work.
