Yermak calls public pressure on the court and law enforcement unacceptable after court hearing

Former Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak stated after a session of the High Anti-Corruption Court that he considers public pressure on law enforcement agencies and the court during the investigation of the case against him to be unacceptable. This was reported by a correspondent for UNN.

Details

Justice and investigations must take place independently, without pressure, and with great respect for both law enforcement and the judiciary. Therefore, it is necessary to allow this to happen without pressure

- Yermak stated.

He added that recently, according to him, significant pressure has been exerted on law enforcement agencies "from various angles."

When there are public calls for some kind of action many times every day, I believe this is wrong and unacceptable in a democratic state

 - he said.

Yermak also stated that he has "honestly served the country" since 2019.

Please do not forget that, starting from 2019, I have sincerely and honestly served my country. But the interests of the country have always been more important to me than personal ones

 - the former head of the OP noted.

In addition, he commented on the situation at the front and the end of the so-called "truce."

Fortunately, thanks to the work of the President and, first and foremost, our heroes, the situation in many directions has stabilized. But you see — the so-called truce has ended, everything continues. Ukraine needs the peace that our people deserve

- Yermak stated.

At the same time, he refused to comment on the issue of support from President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

As a reminder

The HACC did not select a preventive measure for Yermak today — the court heard the prosecutor and part of the materials.
